The Independent Review of Invest NI Panel have this week continued to hold face to face engagements with a number of key stakeholders on the efficiency and future remit of Invest NI.
Over two days in Belfast, meetings took place between the Panel and the Invest NI Board Chair; Invest NI Interim CEO; NILGA; City and Growth Deals representatives; Skills Council for Northern Ireland; members of the NI Chamber of Commerce and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions.
In accordance with the Review Terms of Reference, the Panel also provided a briefing to Economy Minister, Gordon Lyons, on emerging findings regarding the organisation’s operational effectiveness.
Speaking about the engagements, Sir Michael Lyons said: “As was the case last month, I am pleased that so many stakeholders have taken the time to meet with the Panel. These engagements continue to provide us with rich and diverse views on the function and future role of Invest NI. Opinions from a wide range of stakeholders across the region are critical to augment our own research and ensure that we can bring forward robust, evidence based recommendations in our final report.”
The Panel will hold further engagements in May, with further regional meetings planned throughout the duration of the Review.
